“My work has long been compelled with looking at the porosity in socially created parameters; the political as geographical boundaries, or the psychological as in familial constructs, or the intimate and private relams of our soma. Zoonatics, as I’m using them now, represent vehicles of fluidity. They are microorganisms as travelers who are adept at wandering across distinct borders, persevering and going often unnoticed until well settled in foreign territories. They are threatening and peculiar mediums of equalization, engaging their unwitting, unrelated objects of desire in cryptic states of communion.”
